The Junior Choir Halloween Party

UCW Unit 5
Held their first meeting of the fall at Linda's home. As you can see, it was an enjoyable time... even though it rained.

Brad gave the junior choir a quick tour of the organ on Sunday before the service.

Unit 5 made 36 delicious Christmas Puddings in the summer time. To purchase puddings sign up at the Fellowship time. It's on a first come first served basis.
Here Charlotte and Mary Jane are at work. Smiling in anticipation of the yumminess of the puddings?

The Y& R Golf Tournament
Again this year, the tournament, organized by Ted Glugosh , was held at the beautiful Mapleview Golf and Country Club. The winners were: Bob Jackson, Diane Hurtubise and Margaret Deacon.

The Congregational Life Team at a summer meeting

This hard working team was probably planning the
Sept 11th 'welcome back' congregational pot luck luncheon. They obviously know how to make their meetings enjoyable!

Baptism
B
eautiful Baby Emerson, with her parents Cara Barr and Christopher Segler and grandparents Ken and Jean Barr, was baptized at St. Paul's this summer by Rev. Gerry.  Gerda Van Wingerden of the Worship and Arts Team is second from right.
Cara, Christopher and Emerson live in California.  Cara said "St. Paul's is my hometown church where Dad was baptized and I was baptized, wearing this very christening gown handknit by my Granny."
Right are Jean with Cara and Emerson on the steps of St. Paul's.

The 2016 Kilt Race
St. Paul's had many participants in the Kilt Run and among them were Rev. Gerry our minister, who did the whole marathon and Brad Mills our Director of Music who did the 8 Km warrior class.
Here Gerry is being knighted by "Queen" Mary Stewart after his successful completion of the marathon. Ida Kerr and Mary Kilgour are snapping pictures. This picture was taken by John Gill (who had completed the 8 K on the previous evening.)

Brad ran the 8 KM carrying that heavy shield and brandishing the sword. This surely was a 'before' picture although he still looked in fine fettle after the race.

Congrats to all the St. Paul's people who participated!!

Beat the Winter Blahs Spaghetti Dinner February 24, 2016
The winter blahs didn't beat us that night in spite of the snow and ice and a couple of hydro outages! We had a great turnout for the sold-out dinner and we had a wonderful time
Thanks to Ted Glugosh who headed up the project and thanks to all those who cooked, served , entertained and cleaned up.
